Our Approach
Think. Reason. Question. Experiment. These are but a few of the skills and qualities that kids will learn at Little Ivy Prep. The emotional, intellectual, and physical development of our children is carefully cultivated through our instructional program. Children are given the freedom to develop their bright young minds through interesting scenarios and experiential learning experiences.
Our Program
SERVICE
Little Ivy Prep is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Education as a Type III Child Day Care servicing children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
CURRICULM
We utilize Frog Street Curriculum, a comprehensive, dual-language curriculum designed to meet the needs of diverse learners by fostering academic, social, and emotional growth through purposeful lessons intended to produce positive outcome.
NUTRITION
Little Ivy Prep provides breakfast, lunch and a morning and afternoon snack with strict adherence to USDA child nutrition guidelines and standards. Nutrition is a major factor in the physical, social, mental, and emotional development of children. Childcare offers a good opportunity to establish nutritionally sound eating habits as well as an understanding of the relationship between food, health, and growth.

Classrooms
Infants
We offer a supportive and secure environment in the Infants classroom so that infants can grow and achieve milestones that are appropriate for their age. Along with playtime and keeping the infants' eating schedule provided by the parents, we talk to the babies throughout the day to strengthen their vocabulary!
Preschool
We recognize that this is the time when your child's personality starts to blossom. As a result, we set up stations in the classroom where students can choose from a variety of carefully considered play experiences. Our classrooms for Two-Year-Olds provide a wide range of learning centers, including those for art, science, dramatic play, libraries, building blocks, puzzles, and more!
Pre-K
In the classrooms of our Three and Four-Year-Olds your preschooler will become ready for the major leap to kindergarten. They are prepared by fostering self-confidence, reading a significant number of books, recognizing rhymes, and writing! Along with that, they also begin learning basic math concepts and conducting science experiments in order to improve their focus, memory, and critical thinking abilities!
